"Local expertise is
the best way to discover any countryside, and here it is in words
and pictures. Discover the Norfolk Broads by foot, bike, and of course
boat. I did over 50 years ago and still keep coming back for more!"

Welcome to our guide to
Discovering the
Norfolk Broads. We hope you get
as much enjoyment out of using it to explore the Norfolk Broads as we have had in putting it
together.
What’s so special about this guide?
Well, it has been designed and written by people living and
working in the Norfolk Broads, in response to many people asking us where
the Norfolk Broads actually are. We all know they exist, you can see
them on any map, but finding them can prove difficult. The guide
reflects our years of experience in discovering the Norfolk Broads for
ourselves, and all of the suggested days out have been
road-tested‚ by us and our families, most of them many times!
Also, it is not an advertising brochure. The ten days out
described in the guide are our best practical ideas to help you
get the most from your visit to the Norfolk Broads. They are designed to
provide an opportunity for you to explore various aspects of the
National Park area, its landscape, wildlife and people, with an
emphasis on getting out of the car and experiencing the Norfolk Broads at
first hand.
We would like to thank the
following for their help:
