Water Trail Adventure
A Norfolk Wildlife Trust event at Hickling Broad. In our opinion, the best guided boat trip available on the Broads. Two and a half hours of peace and tranquillity on the largest Broad in the National Park as you explore the Broad itself, its islands and quiet backwaters in the company of an experienced guide. Famous for its bird life, you will get the opportunity to visit several bird hides inaccessible to the general public, and also to climb the tree tower for an unrivalled view of the Broad and the surrounding area.

When: 10.30am & 2.30pm Saturday 13th and Sunday 14th September
Cost: £7.50 for adults; £4.50 for children under age 16

Picnic Cycle Ride
Take your picnics and wind your way from Clippesby through quiet country lanes to one of the most peaceful and scenic locations in the Broads at How Hill. Picnic on the grass looking down over the river, take a trip on the Electric Eel boat around the hidden dykes on the reserve, or walk the nature trail to the bird hide on Crome’s Broad to try and spot kingfishers. Full route maps and guidance available.

When: Anytime during the Festival
Cost: £15 for a family of 4 for the boat trip; normal charges for bike hire if required
